Our pool has no dedicated theme tag for «Western» or «Cowboy» — so this selection is based on a narrower, more honest criterion: games whose names and theme tags together point to a western setting. Right now it yields only 1 game: Colt Lightning Inferno, named after the revolver and tagged with both Horse och Horseshoe in the rules.

Two other games in the pool — «4 Horsemen 3 - Inferno» and «Inferno Gladiator» — also have horse themes in their theme tags, but we don't count them. The former is about the four horsemen of the apocalypse (undead, skull, horror) and the latter about a Roman gladiator in the Colosseum — horse as a symbol for something other than a cowboy setting. Adding them here just to pad the list would have been guessing, not reading the data.

The name points to western props (in this case a revolver, «Colt») and the rulesheet's theme tags confirm that with Horse and/or Horseshoe — without other, stronger tags (apocalypse, ancient Rome) explaining the horse motif better.

What does not determine

The tag Horse or Horseshoe alone is not enough. Two more games in the pool have that tag but clearly belong to other themes — see the reasoning above.

The order

Newest first by release date. With only a single game in the selection, there won't, of course, be a long list.

Honesty note: this is the smallest selection in the entire suite of theme pages. We prefer to build a page with a single honestly motivated game rather than borrow titles that actually belong in demons to make the list look fuller.
