Gameplay and paytable
Book of Claws: Lock&Choose is a 5x3-grid game with 10 fixed pay lines from left to right starting on reel 1; only the highest win per line is counted. The game's official return-to-player percentage (RTP) is 95 %. The highest possible win is 5000 times the stake; if the limit is reached the round ends and remaining features are stopped.
The payouts are read from the paytable at a bet of 1,00. The highest symbol (the adventurer) pays 1x for 2 symbols, 2x for 3, 5x for 4 and 10x for 5 the bet. The second high symbol (the pharaoh) 0,5x/1,5x/3,5x/7x. The third (the falcon god) 0,5x/1x/2,5x/5x. The fourth (the ankh cross) 0,5x/1x/2x/4x. The low card symbols (A, K, Q and two others) pay 0,5x for three, 1-1,5x for four and 2-3x for five the bet depending on the symbol. The book symbol acts as both Scatter and Wild and pays independently: 1x for three, 2,5x for four and 5x for five the bet.
Claw Lock Feature
The Claw Lock feature is triggered randomly in the base game and is active every spin in Bonus Game mode (not random during the bonus). Two claws land and each independently tries to grab a symbol from the reel pool; each claw succeeds or fails separately. If both claws grab the same symbol the expansion happens twice and pays double separately.
A Wild/Scatter symbol can be grabbed by a claw, but does not expand and does not land on the reel - it only affects the number of Scatters, which can trigger Scatter Pay or the Bonus Game. After the regular symbols have paid the grabbed symbol expands and covers the entire reel and pays according to the paytable on all reels, even on non-adjacent positions, as long as there are enough symbols to form a win.
Choose & Expand Feature and free spins
The Choose & Expand feature is triggered when 3 or more Wild/Scatter symbols land anywhere on the grid in the base game, or by buying the bonus (Bonus Buy). Before the round starts the player selects a symbol to be the expanding special symbol in the bonus game (Wild/Scatter cannot be selected).
The bonus game starts with 10 free spins. If 3 or more Scatter land during the bonus game, +10 extra spins are awarded (unlimited retriggers); the selected symbol remains the same throughout the bonus and is not reselected.
Bonus game's payout order: a) line win (Wild/Scatter acts as Wild), b) the chosen special symbol's expansion and payout, c) the first clone's symbol expansion and payout, d) the second clone's symbol expansion and payout, e) Scatter Pay and check for retrigger. All steps are paid separately and added together into a total win; the base-game win from the triggering round is added to the total win when the bonus ends.
The game has two side-bet options (Sidebet): Sidebet 1 gives double the chance to trigger the bonus game on the next spin; Sidebet 2 guarantees a 100% Claw Spin with one active claw, and the other claw has a chance to be released. Bonus Game (10 starting spins) can also be bought directly (Buy Bonus) with a 100% guaranteed trigger.
